Commentary from JoanE Lipinski
“Today the daily leader has an article on the finance committee’s meeting. there was discussion about an “overspend” on schematic plans for the proposed public health building, and an addition to the budget for staff in the circuit clerks office ( understaffed). the total that they determined to spend was $67,681, more that 1/4 of what would be needed to support the Livingston county community health care program. It is also interesting that they can get a full time employee for $23,131 (including benefits?). no wonder they had to discuss “losing” trained staff to fast food jobs….
